I have no idea what to do with it. I saved it as a text file , and it looks like a long bitcoin wallet address or something: I have no memory as to why I saved it like this or what it is other than I wrote in my notes that my wallet has three bitcoins. Here is a sample of what it looks like. It goes on before and after this much longer. Please help.

Old backups of wallets with progress that happened after them (Bitcoin core)

Hello,
I wanted to make extra backups of my bitcoin core wallets which are encrypted but still use the wallets while having digital backups elsewhere. Is this fine? Seeing as the same wallet will have new transactions while the one backed up only keeps the transactions up until the date it was backed up?

How to import local.bitcoin.com wallet backup to electroncash

Hi there. local.bitcoin.com allows users to generate a .json file which supposedly is the wallet backup. Any ideas how to import this into electroncash? The file looks something like this.

Found a 2014 file on my computer called bitcoin wallet private key backup. It's just a text file: 4972 characters, and every 100 characters or so has a forward slash.

Don't think I have any significant amount of funds in this wallet, but am curious just what kind of a back up I am looking at. Ideas?

What wallet allows me to import the backup of my local.bitcoin.com account?

I have realized that local.bitcoin.com offers the possibility not only to export my addresses using their private keys, but also to download a backup of my "LocalDotBitcoin" wallet. I wanted to know in what wallets and how I can import that backup or how I can use it to secure my coins. Can I import that file into Electron Cash? Is there a tutorial?

Hey all! I lost access to my Bitcoin.org mobile wallet yesterday after backup

hey all! i found out the hard way, but bitoin.org mobile wallet backs up the keys to a specific file that Samsung does not recognize, so send them to the cloud, don't back them up internally, i lost access to one of my wallets yesterday when i upgraded phones.

I tested this after creating a new wallet on the new device, backing it up with a generic pw, then checking for the file on my device. Reads "unknown" when viewing on the Samsung devices. I had backed up everything to the cloud, my apps, msgs, calls, etc, everything else transferred, yet not this code.

Bitcoin wallet backup question

I've done a little searching and I only seem find that you should keep a paper backup of your 12/24 word recovery phrase so you can regenerate your private key.
My question is, do you need to keep backups of the public keys that you use? If a private key is able to generate a huge number of public keys, how does a new wallet know which blockchain transactions are yours if it doesn't know which public keys you've used?
