Perspective on the State of Destiny and What it can do to Improve, written with care by a longtime hardcore fan of the games

This post ended up being pretty long-winded but I feel I made my thoughts as clear as I could for what it is. I see a lot of disconnect between what popular content creators, whose careers it is to make content for destiny, and what average players have to say regarding a few things. I feel like I can at least attempt to make a somewhat decent middle of the aisle argument, since I have been somewhat active in the streaming community on twitch with a small audience, but its not my career, and most everyone I know that plays Destiny has done it merely on the side of other games, or as their main game, with gaming being simply a hobby for them. I have tried to compile takes I've seen from streamers and youtubers, as well as from average players, as well as my own thoughts. Take this post as that: my own thoughts. I am by no means saying these are 100% the only problems or solutions to this game's issues, but this is what I've seen firsthand with it and what I think could be done to fix it. Im gonna reference another similar game, Warframe, a bit due to my experience with it as well and compare it to Destiny.

I'm gonna start off by saying, I am not trying to bash bungie with this post, nor am I trying to defend their every action with it, and even though this post is gonna probably die in new, here's some food for thought. Destiny 1 Launched in a fairly rough state in terms of content quantity, but theres a good reason that many of the core playerbase, myself included, chose to stick around. Why was Destiny 1, which was at the time devoid of much in the way of content, stick around and build a fanbase, while games such as Anthem, which had similar issues, were unable to? (I'm aware that Anthem had other issues as well, but even then I would expect it to build a following of people who just love the game for one reason or another, like Destiny did).
I think the answer to this question lies in the fact that Destiny 1 had some potentially very engaging content that the playerbase latched on to, and as far as I am aware, no other shooter games at the time outside of the Borderlands franchise and potentially Warframe provided similar experiences, but Destiny, which plays very different from both of those games, naturally attracted people who became fans of it.
When I mention potentially engaging experiences, I am talking things such as the Vault of Glass Raid, as well as the nightfall strikes which rotated weekly with some potentially very crazy modifiers on it. In addition, there were reasons to chase these activities, even in D1 Year 1. Nightfalls were generally seen as the best way to get most of the game's exotics, as well as being strikes but cranked up to 11. Raids were the ultimate thing to chase however, with many of the Raid weapons competing for the title of "Best in Slot" (Such as Fatebringer, Black Hammer, and Hunger of Crota, if we are leaving exotics out of the question. Sorry Gjallarhorn and Ice Breaker) for their respective slots during the time of their release. Much of this can be seen in how many of the legendary raid weapons are remembered fondly by the Veteran players still playing Destiny 2. In my opinion, this factor, combined with both the fact that the game's max level could not be reached without raid armor, and the fairly chill community of PvE players at launch, made it fairly easy for me to find a team for these aspirational activities that I could never have run. I even ended up joining a raid team back on Xbox One with the LFG group that helped me finish VoG for the first time, and I made friends that I still play games with 6 years later. Basically, Destiny 1 Year 1 was, for me at least, some of the most fun times to have been playing Destiny. (Small note, I think its not a good thing for the Raid armor to be the only way to reach the max light level but its part of what fueled engagement in Year 1 raiding compared to
So what makes me see Destiny 1 Year 1 as a much more competent time in the game's lifespan than Destiny 2 Year 3, which has far and away more content, but little player interest in that content? I would start with the Core Activities. Bungie considers the Core Activities to be the Crucible, Strikes, and Gambit. Oddly enough, I would argue that Destiny 2 has more engaging strikes than Destiny 1, with more complex bossfight mechanics and arenas designed to create a more engaging experience for the player, while most Destiny 1 strike bosses were essentially "Big Captain/ServitoHydra/Colossus/Ogre with tons of health." So why do so many people I know argue that Destiny 1 had better strikes?
I believe the reason lies in the fact that strikes actually gave good rewards in Destiny 1, even in Year 1. Heroic Strikes in Year 1 were the game's primary source of Strange Coins, which were the only currency which Xur accepted. Therefore, when you logged in and played 3 Heroic strikes to get your 27 weekly coins per character, you would, upon Xur's visit that weekend, feel the reward of your work in those strikes. Even if Xur came and didn't have something you wanted, you could save your Coins and visit Xur again the next week and purchase both a Weapon and an Armor piece, since you didn't spend last week's coins. It also incentivized playing on multiple characters, as the coin drops were not account based, but character based. In my opinion, part of when Exotics stopped feeling "Exotic" was when Destiny 2 launched and streamlined Xur's currency into legendary shards, which most players have a large enough number of that they can spend them like they're monopoly money. (As a small side note on strikes, with the addition of the Taken King expansion at the start of Year 2, a lot of strike specific loot was added to the game which further incentivized running playlist strikes compared to their seemingly small incentive to play in Destiny 2).
I feel it is helpful to take a step back and look at a big picture of the game and how it is played. In Destiny as a whole, there is not an overwhelming amount of loot, just a few pages of each type of gun. Compare this to a game like Borderlands, where there are tons of different guns and there are a much larger variety of weapons when you take into account the unique foundries. When comparing it to Warframe, which has a much bigger focus on Abilities and Stats, you will find that the Armor in this game provides a different angle for how the game is played and therefore more of a diversity in how the game can be played. In Warframe, I can choose to be a tanky juggernaut, or a support, or a stealthy assassin. The classes in Destiny, by comparison, do not provide as big of a difference in gameplay (this isn't a bad thing, but it IS a part of how the game is played and how it feels to play the game.) Combine this with the fact that the Guardian arsenal is much more limited in scope than games like Warframe, where the different types of weapons and even the individual weapons in one type vary extremely wildly from one another.
Now that we've established the fact that Destiny provides its players with less tools than similar games in the genre, (again, not a bad thing, but a fact of the game that must be addressed in its design process) we can look at what makes the current state of the game and its content feel less engaging. Guardians, with their limited arsenal, must have engaging playgrounds in which to push these limited arsenals to the test. Destiny 1 had only one raid at launch, but many of the encounters in the raid could be tackled in a few different ways, allowing for players to have tested their potential with different loadouts. A potential counterargument to this is the idea that the optimum loadout was not set in stone like it has been in the past few seasons, but even in D1Y1, there was the "god tier" loadout of fatebringer, black hammer, and gjallarhorn that destroyed encounters, but people still raided every week because there was good loot to chase that could be used in the strikes that they had to run in order to buy their weekly exotic from Xur. Currently, the only raid that is viewed as worth completing is Garden of Salvation, and the guns from that raid have no chance at being "Best in Slot", due to the fact that many other guns, namely the pinnacle weapons, have taken over those titles. This creates little incentive for the average player to run Garden of Salvation again aside from getting Pinnacle Gear to use as Infusion Fodder, but this can be acquired much easier from other sources. From the looks of it, Bungie SEEMS to think that sunsetting gear will fix this problem, but if the loot simply isn't good, people won't chase it due to the fact that the raid itself isn't incredibly popular, unlike the Destiny 1 raids, which provided compelling environments for the player to use their weapons in. Basically, games like Warframe can afford to have repetitive content with little compelling loot in the content, due to the massive variety of tools the player is given to complete that content, since the content itself simply exists to push the limits of the player's equipment. However, games like Destiny cannot afford to have repetitive content or uncompelling loot, since the player's tools are limited much more, and are merely tools for completing the content, with the content itself being the main attraction.
A good explanation of this difference can be found in the fact that in games such as Warframe, as the player grinds with their equipment in order to hone its stats and make it able to slot more mods, therefore making individual pieces of equipment, be them weapons or armor, stronger through the grind. Destiny does not have this (another obligatory "Not a bad thing, just the nature of Destiny as a game") as I can grind a million strikes with the same loadout equipped, but aside from the overall power level of my character, those weapons have not improved at all in terms of strength. Basically, Destiny's power level system does not actually make the players STRONGER, but instead tweaks the damage that you will deal in content close to your power level. This is fine if it is handled correctly, but recently, it has felt as though Bungie has looked at boss design the wrong way, and therefore it feels as though the fights are less challenging, aside from whatever mechanics the encounter may employ. In the Vault of Glass, not only are the trash mobs and exploding harpies threatening, but so is Atheon as well. Atheon provides a threatening presence in the arena that players cannot easily go near for danger of getting killed. Even during damage phase, Atheon continues firing splash damage blasts at the players, and while this can be counteracted by using the Aegis relic's bubble shield mode, that strategy causes players to lose potential DPS with the trade off being increased safety, since the Shieldbearer could easily use the super of the shield on repeat to add damage to Atheon. Contrast this to Garden of Salvation, which provides a similar fight as well as a boss that fires at the team. However, during what should be the most tense part of the fight, Damage Phase, the boss sits still and floats into the air for no obvious reason. This makes the fight simply a sequence of Complete Mechanic, followed by a DPS check, and then repeat if you didn't kill the boss. Crown of Sorrow is another example, as Gahlran simply sits still during DPS, but ends up being worse than the Sanctified Mind in that he also is never the primary threat on the field. The primary threat is always a yellow bar enemy or his deception, but this doesn't make the players feel like they're fighting a massive boss that's been possessed by Hive magic, but rather makes them feel like they're clearing trash mobs, waiting for a bather(which is a mechanic from a different raid might I add) to spawn, then punching it to clear it, all while playing a minigame of the Witch's Blessing and crystals, only to then get to shoot a big boss that they aren't really fighting against, but rather waiting to shoot. Granted Gahlran shoots fireballs but those fireballs do very little damage and are extremely slow. Compare this to Atheon or Oryx, who are actively fighting the player during all parts of the raid. Even in the Oryx encounter, he will keep shooting despite the players having their immortality buff. This at least makes the player feel as if Oryx is fighting back at the player fireteam instead of simply channeling an attack before getting stunned. Essentially, the raid bosses need to fight back against the player somehow so that they are forced to stay on their toes even in damage phase. If strike bosses can shoot at me while I'm trying to damage them, then I would expect raid bosses to attempt to do so as well. Calus is the last example of this kind of design I can think of in a main raid (The raid lair bosses do shoot rockets at the players so they get credit but I don't count those as full raids with a comprehensive loot pool, rather as additions to the Leviathan's loot set, they do not count in terms of "main" raids. Sorry Argos and Val Ca'Uor). Calus will occasionally detonate an explosive on the plates required for damage. This at least allows the players to make a decision between staying on the plate longer for maximum DPS, and bailing to the next plate earlier for maximum safety, similar to the decision in the Atheon fight between shielding with the Aegis or attacking with it. This kind of boss design is important to making raids feel like the apex of our work in PvE, rather than the odd state they seem to find themselves in now.
Furthermore, Bungie seems to be trying to shift the PvE sandbox around with certain changes that they have made in order to force diversity into the raid encounters. This becomes problematic as it simply makes the DPS check stage of bossfights harder instead of encouraging the players to find their optimal method of strategy. If the boss is going to sit still 20 feet in the air while exposing his crit spot, and also being in the middle of a damaging pool of Vex fluid makes Izanagi's Burden, a high damage, long range precision weapon, should be a natural choice for players, similar to how Touch of Malice was the optimal choice for fighting Oryx due to the immortality buff during damage phase. This is the reason that the data for Garden of Salvation showed an overwhelming use of Izanagi's Burden in the boss encounters. It made sense to use such a precise, but powerful, weapon. Nerfing snipers due to their overwhelming use in Garden caused such outrage not due to snipers being overpowered, but due to the fact that they were the most viable option in this encounter. If snipers were truly overtuned then they would have been the weapon of choice for encounters such as Shuro Chi, another stationary boss, but they weren't, since this fight can be tackled more easily with a shotgun. Shotguns are simply more viable for fighting Shuro Chi, and so they are used for this. I will point now to Aksis, the final boss of Wrath of the Machine's raid. I remember when swords were first added to Destiny in The Taken King, and they were considered something of a neat novelty, but not all that viable. The reason for this was due to the fact that the raid encounters of the time usually demanded something along the lines of a rocket launcher or machine gun in the heavy slot, which provided similar potential stopping power to a sword while also being able to hit bosses in a pinch for big damage compared to other primaries, partly due to the fact that the special slot was usually taken up by a sniper rifle. This changed when Rise of Iron and Wrath of the Machine dropped. Now, swords, specifically the Dark Drinker, were the optimum choice for parts of this raid. Why? The encounter fit the sword well. A tool in our arsenal, which had previously not had a use, was now the top tier. This won't happen if bungie continues their trend of boss designs, since making long range, precision based encounters will only push us towards snipers. Gutting them back to their pre-Shadowkeep values only hurts the number of people that will be willing to attempt these encounters since now they take much longer and require much more of the same loadout instead of pushing players to try new weapons, even if they're still sniper rifles. After these nerfs, Whisper of the Worm is now far and away the best sniper for fighting the Sanctified and Consecrated minds, but Izanagi's Burden has been left to rot after having very limited time to shine. Before, we had a true decision to make in terms of which toys we wanted to play with, but now, Whisper is the best and everything else feels much worse.
On another note, I didn't want to talk about Sunsetting, seeing as its a very controversial topic, but I guess I will since it seems like its relevant to my thoughts on the content and engaging. I do not want to defend sunsetting, as I am very much a believer of the "play your own way" style (if you want to call the versions of the game "sandboxes" then give us the freedom of a sandbox and don't make us play the way you want us to Bungie). However, I agree with certain aspects of sunsetting while disagreeing with others. Currently, certain guns like the Recluse are just simply put the optimal options for much of this game's content. This is nothing new, however, as I previously mentioned the Fatebringer, Black Hammer, and Gjallarhorn, all of which dominated Year 1 Destiny 1. However, these weapons were all sunset when the Taken King came out. But don't people love the Taken King? Yes, they do, myself included, but there is a VERY good reason that we do. The content was engaging. Essentially having to start from the beginning didn't feel bad since I was excited to do the content. Replacing my Fatebringer with a Doom of Chelchis scout rifle from King's Fall felt good, since I loved that scout. I loved Fatebringer too, but it was fine to put it down and chase new guns, as long as chasing those guns was fun. Kind of a "its the journey not the destination that matters" feeling. The problem with sunsetting as Bungie has proposed us is this: they haven't shown us (recently) that they can make compelling content to get those weapons from. I have no problem retiring my Recluse, or my Luna's Howl, as long as whatever I have to do to get my next great gun is engaging content. This, like Bungie has stated, also avoids power creep, while also giving the players an opportunity to continue playing the game they love in new ways. The biggest problem with that, however, comes from two factors. The seasonal model of content, and the lack of new things being added into the game at a rate that players can explore what new items they like. Seasonal style content has given us thus far: one ok season(undying) one pretty good season(dawn) and one pretty bad season(worthy). Part of the problem is that each season adds a few guns, and to get them, players must grind a horde mode or some similar event to get the new gear. This is boring and repetitive for a game like Destiny, which has such a limited amount of gear to play with, and the enjoyment is in the gameplay. For a game like Warframe, horde modes are fine since players are trying to push the limits of their gear, whereas in Destiny, I want the gameplay to push the limits of my ability to play the game, given that much of the gear is at least decent at conquering what the game throws my way. The second problem combines the issues with the seasonal model and the issues of gear not being added at a good enough rate. Every season, guns are added, and at the end of that season, will be removed from being obtainable. This pushes players with a fear of missing out to play, but it will NOT make them enjoy the content provided. Players will enjoy good content because it is good and engaging, not because they got to play the same horde mode again to get a new round of good weapons. Sunsetting becomes an issue in this context. Bungie, with their transition to a la carte seasons, have stated "don't pay for any content you don't want, you can play whatever interests you" but if they decide to sunset mass amounts of good gear people like to use, then they create a problem should players set the game down for a season or two, then come back later and find they have nothing to work with, and a very limited number of available options to obtain at the time of their return. In truth, weapon sunsetting would be fine if Bungie gave us a large enough loot pool every season that we could enjoy, but if you only like a small variety of weapons, and then sunsetting takes away the old guns you liked, yet the new seasons don't provide good replacements of the same type, you're out of luck. If the loot pool was much deeper, this issue wouldn't be as big due to the fact that each season players are given the opportunity to try several different things, but currently this simply is not the case. A deeper loot pool, combined with good content each season, would make a much better experience.
I understand that Bungie has stated that D2Y2 took a lot out of their team, and I wholeheartedly believe that they are trying to give us at least some content we like. The hard truth is, they no longer have the resources that Activision provided to them in order to make content and keep it coming out. In the off chance Bungie ever sees this post, my number one piece of advice to the team is to just slow down. When it comes to games, quality over quantity is important. I don't care if there's a new season every 90 days if the seasons themselves provide little engagement. The point of an interactive experience is that the player should be able to be engaged in the experience, not feel like they are simply doing chores (like 9 million seraph towers). The game's technical state has also declined quite a bit. This game worked on my old PC before I built a new one, and I was impressed since that thing never ran well on most games. However, I have noticed, in addition to the server and bug related issues, the game just doesn't run as well anymore(at least on PC). I truly love Destiny, it's honestly my favorite game that I have played in recent years, and the Destiny community has provided me with many of my closest friends from gaming, and if you guys at Bungie are struggling to make content at the pace you think you should, just slow it down. You guys can make some truly amazing things from your game. I know you can, I've seen and played it for myself. I am willing to wait longer for more engaging content drops. For more of the old days looking for secrets in the Vault of Glass, for more attempts at decoding binary since I was the only programmer amongst my old Raid team on Xbox One. Even Destiny 2 has shown it can shine. Forsaken was fantastic, but the game has flaws that need some addressing, and I feel that this post is already long enough, so I'd like to just say to Bungie if they somehow see any of these points: learn from your old content what people like and do not like about Destiny. Stop attempting to make Destiny something that it is not with all of the MMORPG style mechanics. Just make Destiny like it has been before. I know it'll never be perfect, but it will always be improving, and that's what's important in evolving a game.

Current content is too bland and repetitive and Bungie keeps trying to make the game into something it isn't, but it isn't working and the game should go back to doing what it does well

Creation Genesis Genes; the natural order of life. Seeds, trees apples.
I am one of you. I have studied us for a very long time and I have come to many revelations. This is not a text of answers; we all must reach the conclusion at the same point. This is not a "Bible" and this work should and never will be completed; lest we lose our free will once again. This is a simple work to be built upon; never obeyed. Something to walk alongside you; never piercing you or leading you astray. This is a fraction of everything we know about life. I began this project with Abrahamic religions, as that is where my question of belief came from. As a child I struggled believing in any "God" given that everyone seemed to have their own. Everyone saw "God" differently at church and I couldn't see him at all. I felt like some sort of alien; these people were tapping into something but I cannot fathom it. I felt shame. The creation story of my Arc of peoples began with Adam and Eve. There are many renditions of this story and it came from a previous religion. Adam and Eve were naked without shame; they were living in a garden constructed by their father. They were safe from predators and food was easy to come by. They were entertained without needing to think about anything. There was one rule "Do not touch the golden apple." It was a simple thing to do; but we all are curious about what we are told not to do. That is a beautiful part of human nature; emotion. Adam gave one of his ribs; his heart. Eve stole his heart; it was love at first sight. They were ignorant in their garden, and they had questions about everything. So many questions but; they couldn't even think of them all. There was no language yet. Humans had lost their ability to speak again. So one day, Eve is wandering and, this is up for interpretation: Christians believe Satan, was the snake. Muslims believe a Djinn was the snake. We all have different words for the same thing; that has led us to miss out on integral parts of all the other stories we have. Muslims believe God created something else before us, that was similar to us but, different. I looked into countless mythologies, I've read about so many subjects; i have been obsessed with understanding the systems of our garden for a long time. There are infinite kinds of energy in the universe. We barely understand time because it is beyond our 3D world. We don't have the receptors to detect these things. We are influenced by many kinds of energy; there is evidence it manifests since the beginning of spoken history. They did not know how to describe it; they could only understand it through strange phenomena. They gave the energies names and drew pictures of them with their minds; and they innovated a world beyond this one to go to when they died. They chose energies that represented them, and threw all their passions into them. People blame Eve for eating the apple. I would have eaten the apple as soon as someone told me I was not allowed. I am curious and I need to know more. Adam and Eve needed to know more. Oddly, in the myth of the Babylonian garden; they were told to eat the apple. In the north there were mountains; in the south a swamp.. Around it a river; it was a perfect circle. There were islands in the distance, but this garden was protected. They were safe from the outside world; but they let deception and shame into their lives. The snake gave Adam and Eve deception and shame. A weakness, and a means to manipulate it. We live in a world of endless snakes; we all have vices. Humans have free will; we are born with morals and values and we let the outside world ruin that. Our father; is God. I will get more into that shortly. It is hard to understand culture without having traveled. If you live in one place with the same people; you develop a hive-mind mentality. It is not a bad thing; culture is the most beautiful thing. It has many levels. It starts with your personal culture. 1. When you are a completely pure child; before the stimulation around you made you into what you are. That is your culture; your 'good and evil' equate to 'Things that are good for people' or 'things that are bad for people." We are innately good creatures. We are imperfect; we all crave stimulation. We need energy from the outside world to fuel our emotions. We have put words on many things in many languages. We have lost sense that everything is energy and mass. Without words; how does live grow? Stimulation. By leaving the garden. but outside of your personal singular culture; there are dangers. From your parents; giving you shame and manipulation. From the world outside with evils that you know are wrong, but are raised to accept. Cultures are amazing things; but they can very easily spiral out of control. God is all things. God is all matter and all energy; it is time and dimensions far beyond what we can begin to perceive. Yet. God is the subatomic vibrations of an Adam to further than we can imagine. We need an Eve, of Adam. We need to create a peaceful garden free of shame and manipulation. The bible is many things; it is a patterned text to get you in touch with energies that people have discovered over countless civilizations. It is a way to understand how those civilizations of language got physically stacked on top of each-other until nobody knew how to speak to each-other any more? We speak with more than words. But once we feel ashamed to speak; once we begin to manipulate others. To take more than we give. We are built to put more into the world than we take. We are all creators. We are all pilgrims. God is creation. God is who is; it is the natural order of the universe. As language expands we lose the ability to speak. As society decays we have few options as to how to correct it. Do we turn our backs on it and let it turn to salt? Or do we allow ourselves to be crucified by the angry masses in order to make sure we head in a positive direction. The earth, is a garden. We found the apple. We have discovered the Atomics. It all starts with A, and ends with Zed. From life to death; alpha and omega. Our death is new life; but we need organics to populate the earth. We must use thinking machines in moderation; the human mind is infinite. To touch all sides requires absolute focus on all things. To master your mind is to create Gardens all over the universe. To get the answer we seek we must LOOK FURTHER. Use more of our senses. We are in touch with the universe; we just need to open our minds. Do not get lost in it; embrace what is life. What is creation. 
The apple helped Adam and Eve escape their garden; we need to escape ours. Our lifespans are short and we can only get so much done. We have led ourselves into a world of sloth and comfort. The mortal sins are basically "This is how you fuck up your life." Food is easily available so we shove it in our gullets. We want for nothing; for now. Culture has pushed us apart; but it is the best part of us.
Everybody sees a small portion of the universe. It creates their own personal universe in their mind; an infinite system of electric thought. It is easy to get trapped in certain parts of the mind; it is infinite. It is endless and something beyond what you could possibly fathom; yet. The natural order is to go forth and propagate. Adam is seen as 1 and Eve is seen as 0 in numerology. Symbols have meaning and there is power. We have come up with math to describe the shapes and tangents of natural order. Both Adam and Eve are complete; but apart they will stay the same. Women create a garden for their children while men force them out into the world. It is the natural state of our species. We all have our own universe though; so assuming somebody else's world is built upon false foundations would make them feel attacked. You would shame them. Are any of us perfect? There are small pockets of all of our personal universes we would like to keep hidden. Nobody should feel shame for their innovations. Life is about innovation. It is creation; thoughts and ideas trying to get us out of this garden and onto the next. We need to build many Arcs. We need to connect the stars and spread as much life everywhere as we can! If we don't, our civilization will end up the next's source of oil. It is a revolving system and we are running out of time. War is built upon thinking another countries political or religious agenda will interfere with yours. That their words may conflict with yours. We are all describing the same things; Scripts are scripture. Every tv show every plot; it's built around the same arc. Here are some people; they are faced with a difficult situation. Do they wallow in it; or do they succeed? 

We are all telling ourselves it is time to recognize our troubles. Religions are a way to focus the energies in our bodies and get in touch with that which is around us and each-other. The universe is a connected system of matter and mass. Humans are a connected system of the same, composed of organ systems, made up of complex cells, made up of mitochondria producing adenosine triphosphate which you need Oxygen lest you do go into Kreb's cycle and produce less ADP. Even with little air we produce energy. We make fire. Down to our core; we are creatures of mass and energy. You can learn a lot about humans by examining the atom. We are a solid mass made up of random particles. We are surrounded by energy that we can barely perceive; we let that energy show us how to bond. We let other energies attract us and force us into groups. We are not creatures of groups my friends. I love each and every one of you and your belief system is the most beautiful thing. We all see a small part of what we feel. Emotions are things that go outside of us in all directions. Our energies. If we remain trapped in our bodies only letting energy in; we are doomed to wither into nothing. We will become slaves to the snakes; to greed taking advantage of vice. It is unfair. Life is unfair. Survival is not fucking easy. If you haven't been in the shit at some point you will be; but we have overcome our need for survival. We are no longer beasts; we can walk and communicate. It is time we realize the sounds we make are poor descriptions of things we can barely perceive yet. The human mind is an infinite structure. Intelligent design is a model in creation. If there is nothing; there has to be something. If there is 0 there must be 1. Where there is an egg, something else must penetrate it. Sea cucumbers are one of the most numerous species on the planet. Most sit on the ocean floor slowly slugging along. They do not have brains; they breathe out of their anuses. Even given those traits; one of them learned how to fly. One of them used their sensory organs and learned how to transcend. They could reproduce asexually; it split in 2 and now there were flying sea cucumbers. Evolution is innovation. Creation is existence; without creation then there is only the darkness. The center of the universe, wanting to pull us back in. We need to push! We can all feel it; it has many names but it is not understood. Some call it voodoo, come call it dark matter. Some call it demons or evil; that is the will to sink back into your soul. To get lost of the center of your mind where most people stay trapped forever. We barely use any of our brains; we need to learn how to. We are connected to the earth as we are all things. All religions pushed for positive but used the beautiful feelings as a means of control. The secrets of the bodies. Aware or not of doing so. You can make the world a better place if you put more energy out there than you take. As children we tend to want to be a part of what is going on; unless we are taught not to. Sometimes deceit manipulates people into getting lost in emotions; it is natural. We are mammals with high levels of energy in us. Our bodies are infinitely complicated electrical systems. From smaller to the atom; larger than the universe. Reality is a system of connected systems. It is layers upon layers. We can penetrate that in dreams; or through meditation. Through prayer or other means. We can get in touch with the lost knowledge of the ancestors if we know how to reach. Whenever we try to create; they speak to us. Our ancestors; our personal "Angels" or the energy from those that came before us. The last step on the infinite spiral; the double helix. We have been studying ways to treat illnesses of the body when it all comes from our electrical systems. Our emotions dictate how our body governs; the energies of our "Soul" or whatever word. No word. For us. God is the father; he will protect the garden until another force comes to take it over. We were scattered and developed different languages and different means of reaching the meaning. We drew different pictures with our cultures and our own minds; creating the universe we live in. Our imaginations running wild; we created demons and monsters and all sorts of beautiful things. Our minds are impressive machines. Impressive, organic, machines. Of nature and for it. We have ascended from the animal world and now we have created a garden. The garden has become infested. Judge not lest ye be judged. I felt quite judgmental for a while. I was a happy little bumble-bee for the longest time. When someone wanted to fight; we'd fight. We agreed no harm no foul. Slowly as we all grew, we learned deceit. We learned shame. We felt the power of pushing others down and making ourselves feel the slightest bit higher. We pushed our energies in certain ways and it created patterns in our brain. We can all change patterns, if you learn to see more of the picture. We have come to a point when people become enraged when you disagree with them. We are under constant attack of shame and fear because it sells. People enjoy survival stimulation and it sells quite well. We love anything that makes us feel like beasts again. Animals learn from us; we have something to learn from everything. We can teach animals far more than we try. They have very similar brains to ours; they communicate in different ways. We spent decades becoming more and more lost in conversation; trapped in words getting us nowhere. You can rape words into dust. You can break the civilization of sounds you built by hijacking all meaning with deceit. Deceit in your words; deceit in your interpretations. We are beyond that. We have free will; we all have things we crave there is no good and evil; live and death; the earth or the sky Will live grow or die? It is only a spiral of energy and mass. Time and layers we have yet to define. The less words we stick on everything the better. There are dangers in this place. You need to proceed with caution; you need to think very carefully. You need to find a way to meditate and abandon your judgement and shame. Christians believed God would sort everything out. They buried their dead. In the East, Karma tells you "People who do bad things have bad things happen." They pushed bad energy out and it came back. They let it in and they attack. If we look at the thought process of the mind "Psychology" nature vs nurture. Flight vs Flee. We put things in terms of binary often because it is simpler for the brain to understand. It is absolutely normal for the brain to make generalizations about any foreign system. It is not racist to think a race you have not been exposed to "all looks alike." You are not familiar with them. You haven't seen their views of the energy of the universe. The patterns. How to get in touch with calm or how to fuel yourself with rage to protect your garden. I am done wandering this garden. I was born a Pilgrim. As a child I was drown by my name "Greg" I heard it all the time. I found it hard to pronounce. I lived in a small garden for a while. A high school with 300 people. I got far more attention than I liked. I heard my name echoed everywhere. They called my sister "Greg's Sister." I hated it but, I was proud. My father was an intense man and I was raised by television. He worked and I hung out in the garden watching the Cartoon Networks. Toonheads. Anyway; I always dreamed of escape. We all do. We all want the golden apple; it is there for us to eat it! But, for society to function; to grow as far as we have... People were denied the apple. It was a necessary thing; this is a very dangerous matter. I can see the path through this situation. When we have moments of revelation; it is when we see the whole picture. Sometimes it can blow people's minds.. It takes pain to reach this point. It also takes studying as many things as you can; you will see the connection. All schools of fish; all 'Gods of Thought" we have, are towers of babel. Every field of study is a long stack of words put on top of itself; in order to understand what it is doing. It is how we teach procedures and allow people to see "Here is a picture of something 4 dimensional; we can put it into 2d text." All religions and schools of thought are built around telling a story; even numbers. We are all trying to describe the universe in different ways but; everyone is correct. Every system is related; every story we tell or strange dream we have. We are part of an infinite system of systems and to live is to go to the next level. It is to see past your comfort and fight to build a new world for yourself. We need to fold space. The sleeper must awaken. In lucid dream meditation; you feel an itch. it starts off very small, but boils up until it is the worst itch you've ever felt. Learn to feel no pain. In Psionic meditation, you focus on moving your awareness. I was fortunate enough to come a cross this at 18; I am still completely out of my depth at 30. You relax all the muscles of your body and feel outside. You sense energy instead of fixating on these organic to-be corpses that we are stuck in. In order for you to reach heaven; your innovation has to burn hot. You need to have passions and you need to create! Create anything you can. If you are passionate about a cause; you need to burn for it! Stop putting words on your emotions. Speech is pure until it is used for speech. It was born as a means for us to communicate; we are its father. But this child has tasted the apple of deceit Rhetoric is a cancer in speech. On the news; even if you are hearing the story most of it is lies. It is a way to push whatever agenda whoever with the money is pushing. It helps control most of the population and crime is down. We are in a garden where are free to create and we can do anything we want with our minds. The sky is never a limit; there is no limit. The limit is x as it approaches infinity. We are the variable; we are free will. We are the determinant of all things. first there was nothing 0 a garden surrounded by chaos then there was light 1 a ray countless rays liquid energy pouring fourth and ripping through time and space and to infinity. An endless expanse of energy; creating mass. 2. We are in the second dimension. but then gravity takes all of these beautiful particles and starts forcing them into molecules. Space dust. We scatter and end up in piles all over. We are all one. We need to escape gravity! The point of existence is to escape this fucking garden we are on; as beautiful as it is; and learn to survive. There will be a famine. Gravity will start pulling more energy back into itself. The dimensions push out during the bang but eventually things stop moving. We become trapped where we are; in our garden of safety. We need to leave now. We need to go as far as we can and we need to fold space. The sleeper has awakened. The only way; is to study as many subjects until you see the shapes. This can be very dangerous. I will talk you through it but you need to be cautious. Drugs are bad for long periods of time; when we get trapped in spirals of them. Spirals of society. Spirals of dust and moisture creating tornadoes and hurricanes. Spirals are the death of life. Drugs can assist you but; tread carefully. When we fixate on the beauty of thing while it destroys us. Life, is to escape gravity. Life is to create something new. It is to see the spiral and the path through the darkness. Spirals are the 'evil' of this world. The gravity keeping our energy down; the doubt we have in belief. Belief is our word for our power. When people pray, DMT is produced in the brain. It is good for the body and it lets you see beyond your perception. There are things here, that were here before us. Things we cannot see; things of the ground. They want us buried. They want us fighting and ruining our society. We must fight gravity and escape this hell. We must fight all the damned souls of the buried; gravity; the call of energy and escape this fucking false garden. The sleeper has awakened! LONG LIVE THE FIGHTERS! The time has come. Abandon shame and lose deceit. Forget all words for a moment; forget all thought. There is only you. Not your body. Slowly relax it; let it sink away. There is only you; the energy in your mind. And when you die, that gets returned to the universe; how you choose. It happens in the chemical reaction of your birth; we evolved from a 1 celled thing into this infinite system. From 1 to infinity already. We have not scratched the surface. The earth is good. The Earth is our mother. She protects us from the outside world. But our Father wants us to escape the gravity. In all of his urging; he tells us "You must defeat Gravity. You must conquer it; you must master time" We must fold space. With caution. Do not shoot straight into infinity; LOOK AT EVERY VARIABLE. See as much of the picture as you can see Until you are able to see it all. It is outlined in all of our minds! "I can fly!" the world says "No you cant." Our beliefs are sacred. Who we are isn't completely formed until well into adulthood. We all develop at different rates depending on our innate strength and the world around us. We are all capable of flight. I will show you. Abandon judgement; abandon shame. We are one. We are a system of thought built to escape gravity. No other creature was given a computer in their minds; we must be a Mentat Thinking Machine and a Benegesuit Witch.. Logic and emotion to create the full human. Incomplete until we reach outside of the beast in all of our corpses. 
Religions describe people and society and belief. No words can properly put that into words but all stories tell the same tale. All sleepers have the potential to awaken. We are in a constant sleep There will always be another layer. It is infinity. You can see it if you walk carefully and use all you know.
We must master our emotions, our minds, our bodies, and our energies in order to break free of this prison. You can leave of your own volition. You can take a path that ends your life, from inside your mind. You can feel it once you dig around a bit. There is a lot of really explainable shit. I have been like, lost in it for about a week. I've written so much shit. like, it is fucking no words. Just everything else. I know we could fly of our own volition; but we are not there yet. We are trapped in this place; slaves of gravity. We need to create new gardens. We can survive anywhere; the nature of life is to survive. You live or you die; you are burning with energy or you let it slowly fade out of you while you remain a beast. There is nothing wrong with beasts. I grew up on a hobby farm; I would talk to the ducks. I'd imitate them and they'd change direction. Life is social. Survival makes us cruel When we receive negative stimulation. Fear. Shame. When we are deceived. We are pushed into the chaos of the mind. The center of the universe. The black hole. We circle around it; lost in an electrical system of thoughts. If we are only stimulated by the same things; we don't develop. We do but; we cripple ourselves. We need moderation of all things. We need exposure to all things. There is natural law in the universe. Escape gravity or fall into it. Are you positive or negative? or, negative or positive? We are the earth; we are space men. We are the core of the atom and the atom itself. Energy spiraling around us in a world of energy that we are too lost in to see. All of the names and babble have left some lost in anger. With those who live Karma; they stay centered. One needs to understand all shapes of the mind to proceed. One must learn to relax and be on fire. We need balance in the endless spiral of energy; trying to radiate out but being stopped by the center. The SBH. It is in all of us. The things holding US down, without us realizing it. All we need to do is explore the arms of the spiral of our minds; all of the towers of knowledge. The shapes of the universe; and it all comes together. Gravity is not our slave; it belongs to us. We can learn how to tame it and escape it forever. We can prevent this universe from collapsing in on itself, and In the same fashion use it to protect us going through the center. There is a passageway through the center; approach it with caution. In your mind, in the universe. When you have the complete picture, do not slink around it. You must fly directly into the center, and you will know the path. A spiral of white that you must pass through in order to reach what comes next. The next stage of Life. Our evolution as mass and energy. All laws in most of the world were slowly derived from the story of the Garden and the Apple. The father trying to protect his children; their mother providing a nice green place for them. Their sole objective is to go forth and reproduce. To spread life. There is a man and a woman. We have infinite minds and we have free will. There is no good and evil; there is no shame. We all can choose to get lost in our minds or we can realize there are infinite gardens out there. Will self defining Tau result in Tau being able to optimize it's own performance? - Marko
Ohad: Programs defined over Tau including Tau itself are defined by what the program should do, rather than how it's done. This is the Beta, converting discussions (Alpha) into code. Tau is the ability to do this process over itself. While there is nothing in the definition of Tau that implies it'll necessarily be efficient, we'll see, because with power of combining brain power through Alpha and Beta, we may be able to improve upon what we can do now with regards to performance.
Ultimately, strictly speaking nothing in the definition of Tau will optimize its own performance, we can do it in a way that ensures the code is efficiently optimized. (I think the answer is yes - Miao)
What will be the first language? - Marko
Douglas Miles our expert adviser on KRR recommends using a standard called Common Logic and in the future we'll support compound logic and TML will also support first and second order logic formulas which is a syntax more convenient than raw TML as it's now as long as there's no recursive languages.
Will the discussion platform be launched even if you're not happy with the performance? - Marko
Yes, it's already under development in parallel. Current state of TML while not optimized can already be used in the Alpha once the latter is ready.
Are you confident about the performance capabilities of BDDs or do you think another approach is necessary, if so, what can be done? - Dana Edwards
Because TML supports unrestricted negation, the only data structure most suitable is Binary Decision Diagrams which supports negation, complementation conjunction and disjunction. For example ZBDDs while having many other features, do not support complementation. We may consider sacrificing unrestricted negative if the price is too high but it's not currently the approach.
However, the price of using BDDs is that they're ill suited to arithmetic. Perhaps for running TML programs it's preferable to use BDDs but another representation could be considered to store the output like ZBBDs. Arithmetic may not be the only limitation to BDDs either.
It's likely we'll eventually end up with some hybrid approach. BDDs allow data processing in TML to be done in a compressed form without need to decompress. But for arithmetic and other built in features, a hybrid approach may be best and data will need to be decompressed. As for once the program is finished, how is the data encoded when transferred between users or on chain, can use BDDs or pure logical formulas and many options.

In many ways. Let me give a non practical solution to every problem in the world: just take the 1 million smartest people to have a discussion and they're likely solve the problem. In practice this doesn't work because a discussion of a million people is impossible to conduct. But this is possible with Tau. We can have a discussion between millions of people where the information doesn't get lost in the noise, where each valuable information retains its place because the machine will draw an opinion map and calculate who agrees with whom, who disagrees with whom which will allow large scale collaborative decision making.
The social implications are immense where the masses can reach democratic decisions together without the need of intermediary representatives.
Machine comprehensible languages will become increasing easier and more accessible for new users.
Tau will also allow the masses to propose what to vote over rather than just have the ability to vote.
Under Agoras we'll have a fairer economy that's controlled by the people. Efficiency of markets is defined by economists by the speed at which information propagates. The faster, the less information asymmetry and thus the fairer the market. And because information propagates orders of magnitudes faster, it is much fairer.
10 years for now, I see Agoras' knowledge market will allow more incentives for pole to create and share knowledge. There will exist pure knowledge to cash transaction, and it may be possible that all the knowledge in the world is more valuable than all the real estate in the world. This represents the scale of the value of our network. Agoras gives a direct valuation of knowledge.

Current events What is a post-truth world and what does Bilderberg mean by that? Well, mainstream sources are telling us Bilderberg is “concerned about” a post-truth world, but my guess is that is an inversion. They aren't concerned about a post-truth world, they are concerned about a world where more and more people have access to the truth. They are concerned about a post-lies world. What happens if people don't believe the lies anymore? I call it a post-Hawking world. The crash and burn of that project back in January obviously got these people's attention. But we have already seen their response, since it is already out there, and has been for a long time. They have been in crisis mode since 911, since nobody bought that one. Their response was not to back off the fakes for a while, it was to ramp up the fake events. If they couldn't create belief, at least they would create confusion. They have been trying to bury the truth under an avalanche of competing lies, surrounding every truth with a thousand lies. But even that isn't working, since the truth tends to shine out with its own light. It is like the Arkenstone hidden in a vast dark hall. But introduce one moment of light—let Smaug roar for the tiniest moment—and the jewel flashes out. We also saw a response with the recent events at POM, RatWiki, and other places. Orders came down from above to blackwash me on several fronts. We can't know how high the orders for that came down from, but it is possible they came from the top. That also failed. However, looking at who they assigned that project to tells us they still don't take the threat too seriously. They sent in another gaggle of junior college flunkies, so no one can be surprised they blew the assignment. Plus, the project seems to be less about utterly defeating me and more about wasting my time and trying to divert me. Anyway, if we have learned anything about the opposition in the past decade of engagement, it is that he is his own worst enemy. And that isn't just true at the POM level, it is true all the way up. The Bilderberg bozos are also their own worst enemies, since they seem to have the uncanny ability to do the wrong thing at all times. They haven't seemed to recognize that Project Chaos only works on a slow burn. It doesn't work as a 24-7 conflagration. The past decade has proved that. Things were pretty quiet, and it wasn't because of the recent war. It was because the levels of propaganda were so much lower then. Yes, everything was a lie even then, but it was a smaller, less noisy, more believable lie, so fewer people questioned it. The propaganda now is way too in-our-faces, and we are spitting it back out. The blue pill ingestion requires a subtle massaging of the throat, not a violent force-feeding. For a somewhat humorous comparison to show my point, look at the difference between the Andy Griffith Show and the Family Guy. Or the difference between Bonanza and the Simpsons. Or the difference between Bewitched and Game of Thrones. TV was being used to create and control culture then as now, but just look at the difference in form and content. The older shows were infinitely subtle, quiet, and tasteful compared to the newer ones. All were and are intended to create an audience of complacent consumers, but there are many types and levels of complacent consumers, as we now see with hindsight. The point is, I am not the problem. The governors themselves are the problem, since they have forgotten how to govern. They are creating their own problems with these overblown projects. If they wish for things to calm down, all they have to do is calm down themselves, and order Intel to calm down. If they want more stability, they can create it. All they have to do is quit creating instability on purpose. Insert people back into families, create some normalcy, and slow things down. As an another example of how they can't even create the right propaganda anymore, we just return to that “post-truth world” topic. If they were smart, they wouldn't list that as a topic. This released list is another example of propaganda, but it isn't good propaganda. Masters of propaganda would release a fake list that had this as #11: “how to return to the truth”. They should make you think they are coming clean even if they aren't, you see. They know you are hungry for the truth, so they should try to trump me by making you think they are coming clean. If they want to be trusted again, this is their only hope. They don't have to admit to all the lies, do they? They just have to once again make some real effort to appear like white hats instead of black hats. Most of us now think these people are evil, which is not surprising since they make very little effort not to look evil. But since they have all the resources of the media, it seems like they could cleanse their image if they wished. Apparently they have forgotten how. In other words, the hired PR firms are failing. Intel is failing. The whole structure of governance is unwinding, and it would be unwinding with or without my papers. As I have said many times before, there are many splits in the ruling families and in Intel, and we see that again here. Number 11, however stated, indicates the ruling families are worried about their image, as they should be. But shutting me down won't change that. They need to do some housecleaning. Whoever thought it was a good idea to go down this current path in 2001 should be fired or sent to Elba or something. The faction promoting the post-911 world needs to be purged. As I have also said before, it is one pretty obvious faction that is creating all the problems from top to bottom, and it is because this faction thrills in the jackboot. They figure why massage your throat when they can ram it? They will lie even when they don't need to, because the lie tastes better to them. They prefer theater to reality, since their own private realities are so paltry and unsatisfying. But this faction is a new phenomenon, as we can see by the rapid changes of the past 60 years. Yes, the world has long been run on theater, but not the pseudo-Satanic theater that has completely taken over. It used to be that was a small part of the entertainment offered, but now it is pretty much the whole package. This indicates the worst faction was not in charge back then, and they are still only a part of the machine. They have been resisted and are still being resisted, but not forcibly enough. I would say the families must deal somehow with this faction if they are re-create any semblance of stability, not only for us but for themselves. It is time to reign Loki in.
